Showtime!

Rightttttt that's the dress rehearsal done! We're premiering tomorrow!!!

This rehearsal process had been the most fun I've had since I started training to become an actress. It's been a real relief to work with such structured comedy and the fact that we all worked on it together and rewrote the script has really made us love the play even more. Peter our director has been so fantastic, I really have loved working with him, he's an absolute genius!

So now it's time to see if anyone will actually laugh at all of our silly stupid jokes that we all laugh at.... maybe the theatre will just be absolutely silent and we'll all feel like absolute idiots, who knows!

Anyway I'm sad to see the project go, but I'm also excited for the next term which will be Shakespeare and Jacobean/Elizabethian texts, so there's going to be a lot of technical stuff to work with in that block of work.

But on a different note, I made some Icelandic Chocolate buns (Súkkulaði snúða) the other day and they were really tasty so I thought I'd put the recipe for them up:

Súkkulaði Snúðar (Chocolate Buns)

4 dl Water
700 gr Flour
80 gr Sugar
80 gr Butter
1 tsp Salt
20 gr Yeast

Filling:
5 tablespoons Sugar
1 tablespoon Cinnamon

Mix all of the ingredients together and work them slowly together with a mixer for about 8 min. Leave for 30 minutes to let it rise. Then flatten the dough out so it forms a square of 30x60cm. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly across the pastry and then roll together into a long roll. Then cut the roll into bits about 2-3cm width and place them on a oven plate. Leave them for another 60 minutes to let them rise even more. Then bake them at 220 degrees for about 17 minutes.

Icing:
300gr of Icing sugar
2 dl water perhaps more if needed.
1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
2 tablespoons of cocoa.

Spread the icing over the buns once they've cooled down and Voila! A nice Scandinavian Chocolatey treat!

So I'm going to bed, I've got a show to do in the morning, I just have to share this video with you all, it is so motivating and inspirational, especially if you're struggling with your workout routine or work of some sort. Enjoy!
